Good Corporate Citizenship is a core value of The Boeing Company. The commitment to investing in the communities where we have a presence is an essential element of who we are. As a responsible business leader, it is our duty to improve the quality of life in communities where our employees live and work. In India, this responsibility manifests itself in our efforts to empower underprivileged women and children through community outreach, education and treatment efforts in India. These efforts focus primarily in the areas of health and human services, and education.
Here are some of the organizations that we support:
Save the Children India (STCI)
This organization works towards the empowerment of unprivileged women and children, through its health, vocational training and education programs. Several thousand children have benefited from the comprehensive school program run by STCI. They have also created a special focus for advocacy, prevention and repatriation of trafficked women and children. Over and above this, they also have a Special Care Centre for intellectually challenged, hearing or speech impaired children.
