Boeing has partnered with GMR Aero Technic to set up a 737 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) line in Hyderabad. Together, we have ensured operational readiness to begin freighter conversions, strengthening regional cargo capabilities. . Boeing’s Global Support Center is delivering customized operational efficiency and safety improvement projects for airline customers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. Along with this, the Boeing India Distribution Center in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh, is a 36,000-square-foot parts warehouse that enhances fleet utilization and mission readiness by ensuring timely access to critical parts. Boeing has also partnered with HPCL to help advance India’s sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) ecosystem and support the Indian Government’s environmental goals.

Boeing is significantly contributing to Indian defence forces’ mission readiness and modernization efforts. India operates a range of Boeing platforms, including 11 C-17s, 22 AH-64 Apaches (with six more on order), 15 CH-47 Chinooks, 12 P-8Is, 3 VVIP aircraft (737 airframe) and two Head of State aircraft (777 airframe), making India one of the largest defence markets for Boeing.
Boeing has delivered 22 AH-64 Apache helicopters to the Indian Air Force. Six more are to be delivered to the Indian Army.

Boeing Global Services deliver sustainment solutions across Boeing’s commercial and defence platforms. Boeing Defence India (BDI) was established in 2017, as part of Boeing’s regional growth strategy, to support the Indian armed forces and build in-country capabilities. Aligned with the Government’s Make in India initiative, BDI leverages Boeing’s global expertise to deliver cost-effective solutions, timely support, and high mission readiness. Its integrated logistics and Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) offerings ensure high availability for platforms like the P-8I, Apache, Chinook, and C-17 - supported through the Globemaster Integrated Support Program (GISP). Through the Boeing India Repair Development and Sustainment (BIRDS) program, BDI is working with customers and industry partners to expand regional MRO infrastructure and support India’s goal of becoming an MRO hub.
Boeing's commitment to fostering and empowering the supplier network in the Indian aerospace and defence sector is fundamental to its supply chain strategy in India. Boeing is by far the largest foreign OEM in terms of sourcing from India (over $1.25 billion annually) through its large and growing network of 300+ supplier partners, with over 25 percent Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), that are an integral part of Boeing’s global supply base. This growth is propelled by significant advancements in quality and capability along the value curve, transitioning from simple assemblies to more complex ones, including advanced materials like composites and full-size determinant assembly (FSDA), which employs next-generation manufacturing technologies such as robotics.

Liquid Robotics, a Boeing company, has signed an MoU with Sagar Defence Engineering Pvt. Ltd. to co-develop and co-produce Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs). Aligned with the U.S.-India Roadmap for Defense Industrial Cooperation, the partnership will advance undersea domain awareness through joint manufacturing, ocean testing, system interoperability, and Wave Glider MRO capabilities. Boeing University Innovation Leadership Development (BUILD) Program is the annual flagship aerospace innovation, leadership, and talent development program by Boeing India. Launched in 2019 and designed for university graduates and early-stage startup entrepreneurs across the country, the program aims to support India's robust startup ecosystem by providing a platform for students and startups to innovate in India, for India, and the world. Participants are encouraged to develop technology-driven solutions that can have real-world applications in aerospace and related domains. This initiative reflects Boeing’s long-term commitment to developing India's talent ecosystem and contributing to the nation’s growing innovation landscape.
The Boeing National Aeromodelling Competition is one of India’s largest and most popular aeromodelling programs. It is organized for students across India. It is conducted in association with IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and R.V. College of Engineering, and Skyfi is the logistics partner for the competition.
The competition started as an annual event in 2013 to provide a nationwide platform for students who have a keen interest in aerospace engineering and related fields.
The competition allows them to demonstrate their skills and creativity in designing, building, and flying fixed-wing aircraft models of different types and sizes.
